Welcome to St Mary's Platt

Groups and Activities

For those aged 4 years and over, Explorers meets during the 10.30am morning service on each Sunday, except for the Family Service which is on the second Sunday of the month (We hope that children will want to be involved in the family service). There is a wide range of activities and at the end of the service the children share with the congregation what they have been doing. See also the Children’s page.

First Steps

This group is for those aged 0-4 years and their parents, grandparents
and carers and meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 11.00am
in the Church.

There is music, puppets, instruments etc and it is followed by coffee
and squash in the Garden Room. See also the Children’s page.

Prayers for Parents

This is currently in abeyance.

We are fortunate to have a strong four part choir under the leadership of Sarah de Mattos. The Choir practises on a Friday evening from 7.45pm and practices usually last about an hour and a half. In addition to choral services, seasonal anthems and an Easter oratorio are part of the Choir’s contribution to our worship. The Choir also takes part in occasional concerts. For further details, please contact Sarah. Tel: 01732 353487

Get Together Lunch

Each month except September, on the third Thursday at 12.15 for a 12.30pm start, a lunch is held in the Garden Room for those at home during the day. This home cooked, two course hot meal is always delicious and there is a warm welcome for newcomers. Contributions to the cost are invited.
