Children’s Groups and Activities
We make every effort to involve and include children in our church life. They are important members of our family and we want them to look forward to coming to church. Come and talk to us about ways children and their families take part, from helping the sidespeople, though reading during the family service, to leading the church in prayer. There are many groups and activities specifically for children …
Explorers is for children aged 4 years and over and meets during the 10.30am morning service. There is a wide range of activities and at the end of the service the children share with the congregation what they have been doing. Explorers takes place on each Sunday, except during the Family Service which is on the second Sunday of the month. During the family service, we hope that children will want to be involved in the service and can sit with their family or together with the other explorers.
Children are very welcome in the choir and anyone interested in joining should contact our Choir Director, Sarah de Mattos, tel. 01732 353487. The Choir practises on a Friday evening from 7.45pm and practices usually last about an hour and a half, but special rehearsal times can be arranged for children if the main practice is too late.
This group is for those aged 0-4 years and their parents, grandparents and carers and meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 11.00am in the Church. There is music, puppets, instruments etc and it is followed by coffee and squash in the Garden Room.
Harvest and Good Friday Clubs
Twice a year special children’s clubs are held in the church. These take place on the Sunday morning before our Harvest Festival and the other takes place on the morning of Good Friday. There are lots of different activities and the children always have a great time. There will be more information the Village News nearer the time, and elsewhere on this website.
