Annual Church Meetings

Sunday 22nd April
11.30 – Annual Vestry Meeting
This meeting is open to all residents in the parish whose names are on the parish electoral roll.
The churchwardens are elected at this meeting by the persons whose names are entered on the church electoral roll of the parish and the persons resident in the parish whose names are entered on a register of local government electors by reason of such residence.

11.45 – Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM)
At the APCM, the Report and Accounts of the Parochial Church Council are considered, and those on the Church’s Electoral Roll elect members of the PCC.
Nomination forms will be available in the church porch from the beginning of April and those for the churchwardens need to be completed and submitted to the Vicar before the start of the Vestry meeting. Those for new PCC members should, preferably, be completed before the APCM.
The Annual Report and Accounts, together with other reports, will also be available in the church during April.

All-age parade service with distribution of posies
We welcome our uniformed groups to this service

Christmas Services

Saturday 10th at 16.00
A Service of Remembering – particularly for those who will be missing someone especially this Christmas

Sunday 18th at 18.30
Service of Nine Lessons and Carols –  a Traditional Carol Service by Candlelight followed by mulled wine and mincepies

Christmas Eve at 14.00 and 16.00
Christingle Services – the earlier one is less busy than the later one and may be more suitable for younger or sensitive children. All children receive a decorated Christingle orange. A collection is taken for the Children’s Society.

23.30 Midnight Mass
Service of Holy Communion to celebrate Jesus Christ’s birth

Christmas Day at 09.30
All-age Family Communion – you are invited to bring a present to show

 

 

Autumn Churchyard Working Party

It’s that time of year again! Lots of tidying and clearing up of leaves required. Please do come and help from 10am on Saturday 29th October 2016. Any time you can give will be gratefully received. If you are able to bring tools, that would be a help too.

Autumn Bazaar

Churchyard Working Party

With all the rain we have had the weeds are growing fast! All welcome to help in the churchyard and vicarage garden on Saturday 16th July from 10.00 to 12.30. Please bring your own tools if possible.

Mayday Maintenance

Odd jobs to do in and around church on Monday, May 2nd

Could you spare an hour between 10.00 and 16.00?

No special skills required for painting, cleaning windows, digging, weeding, planting

All help gratefully received

Mothering Sunday and Parade Service

Sunday 6th March at 10.30

At this service, the uniformed organisations will parade their flags and posies will be distributed.

Followed by a cake sale in aid of our chosen charities for this quarter.

Concert and Supper

Music performed by WiTunes, Platt Pipers and other groups and soloists.

(After the first half, supper is scheduled at 19.45)
followed by more songs with audience participation
